October 3rd saw our third and final competition in the Monochrome Print class. Adrian Stone judged 16 prints submitted by 4 members. Just one received a top twenty, a self-portrait by Garry Neesam. Two prints received 19 points, both by Denis Anguige.
September 19th 2013 saw the Camera Club run it’s final Digital Image competition in the series of three. There were 37 entries. Our final round of Print Competitions this season took place on 3rd October 2013. The 40 entries were judged by Adrian Stone. He awarded three prints with top twenty marks to Denis Anguige, Frank Morley and Ray Baverstock.
Our second Monochrome Print comp happened on 11th April when Daphne Hanson judged 21 entried from 10 members. The winning print was a Clematis seed head by Paul Codd which was the only print to be awarded 20 points. John Swift and Garry Neesam were awarded 18 points each for joint second.
We held the second Projected Image competition of the season on the 9th May. Our judge was regular visitor to the Club, Maggie Tear. Maggie had a total of 54 images to comment on and judge. We held our second round of Print Competitions on April 11th when Daphne Hanson visited to judge our prints. Five prints were awarded the maximum score with Denis Burrell managing to get two 20s. There were a total of 57 entries.
Allan Hale was our guest judge for the first Projected Image Competition of the season. Allan got to judge 69 projected images and awarded 4 images top marks of twenty points to Rob Fairhead, Denis Anguige, Shirley O’Blath and Garry Neesam.
