David Muscroft
Photography in France Masterclass
Enter a draw for a free 2009 Tour of the Languedoc*
David Muscroft now brings his 35 years professional editorial experience including press, sport (especially his iconic snooker images at Sheffields Crucible Theatre), glamour, aviation, children, and stock (plus his vast experience in organizing overseas shoots) to his Masterclass Course based in the Languedoc.
Based at David's comfortable four bedroom townhouse in the centre of a typical wine-growing village set between the mountains and the sea, David's knowledge of and passion for the area is used to full effect in taking his guests to the visual cream of locations within about an hour of base. Here they will have the opportunity to stretch themselves, build on existing skill levels and techniques, and with his experience in photographing the Languedoc learn how to work the light and space and return to base with great personal images.
David's focus is not on shooting picture postcards, but on creating strong iconic images !
David's courses are designed for the average camera club
member, who typically may have a digital SLR and own laptop, and for whom using
the major camera controls will be no mystery. A grasp of photo-technique and
basic Photoshop image enhancement would be an advantage.
Daily itineraries take in ;
Soaring turrets of Cathar castles, the metropolitan architecture of bustling Montpellier
contrasting with winding medieval village streets, markets full of local produce, local
festivals, the patina of time on stone -- in short: typical France.
The Course Includes:
. Transfers from, for instance Carcassonne airport to The Old Pharmacy
. High quality bed and breakfast accommodation
. Dinner on the first evening
. Daily travel in a 7-seater air conditioned car to locations
. Use of a projector, printer and complimentary 10 sheets of A4 paper
Prices start at
£295 for three nights.
There are no more than six guests, allowing individual attention from David.
The Old Pharmacy is 6-7 hours door to door from East-Midlands airport, and close to
all facilities (indeed, only 100 yards from a great bistro where evening meals
are most easily taken).
David is inviting any feedback and ideas you may have on
his courses, and you can e-mail him for his questionnaire. When returned it will
be entered in a draw at the end of the year and the winner will receive a
free 2009 course.*
